Rhaedalyn had no idea who was going to help Aradissicath and her to their destination and she definitely hadn’t caught a word of any of the male dragonriders in the area talking about her. Once Kahleena wandered off to join her class, Rhaedalyn was left to her own devices which usually meant she was lost in a day dream and, unsurprisingly, her current one was about Z’ia. He was so sweet and tender with Aveleth that it made her fall for him all over again. The first month or so at Katila had been rough for her and she wasn’t exactly thrilled to be starting a new life and therefore had been a bit stand offish and pouted a lot into her food. That is, until Z’ia walked into the Dining Hall one evening. She fell in love with that innocent and fun-loving smile of his instantly and couldn’t take her eyes off of him as he sat down with friends and continued to enjoy the evening. It was soon after that that she started to open up to people, befriending V’zire and eventually R’nya as well. It was only Z’ia she couldn’t find the words for. Still, Rhaedalyn knew one day they would have a proper talk, about them, and be happy together. They already shared a gaze, after all! He’d realize his affections soon enough, she was sure of it!
That would be lovely, thank you. Aradissicath had turned her attention to the green that approached and eyes were blue as they whirled with happiness at someone approaching them. Rhaedalyn was given a look but the girl was still trying not to be too obvious in her glances of Z’ia and earned herself a nudge to the thigh from a golden nose. Someone would like to give us a lift and I said they could. But you need to pay attention first, dear. I don’t want you falling off of Shanith’s back.
Rhaedalyn gave a startled squeak as Aradissicath’s gentle voice filled her mind and she spun around to see the dragon and rider watching her. Her cheeks flushed with embarrassment at being caught lost in her daydreams but Rhaedalyn nodded and smiled at Ravana. “Thank you for your assistance. I wasn’t sure who was taking us or how, actually.” That hadn’t been something she thought about and still couldn’t as her trio of firelizards started pestering her. Muffin had been enjoying a game of darting between Kahleena and Rhaedalyn, trying to get their attention and then zipping away when he had it. Rumour and Whisper, however, had been trying to check up on R’nya but they came back chittering with annoyance as Xyreith scared them away. Rhaedalyn couldn’t get a clear image but she suspected her friend was busy with the task of the day and didn’t need the flitters in his way.
Once Muffin spotted Stubborn, though, it was time for a new game and he started circling around Ravana to see the new gold. Whisper eyed Stubborn from the perch she claimed on Rhaedalyn’s shoulder but didn’t make a peep since there had been no move made to touch her property. She wasn’t entirely territorial but she wasn’t about to share her blues or Rhaedalyn with just anyone either! “I’m sorry about them. They can be such a handful!” Rhaedalyn waved a hand for Muffin to leave everyone alone and gave up when he sat on Shanith’s back.
All the shuffling around her made Rhaedalyn aware once more of what was going on and she watched Kahleena’s class take off. They arrived safely. All of them. Rhaedalyn released the breath she had held, worried about her friend and that they might hear keening that day after all. When it didn’t come, Rhaedalyn smiled again and walked up to Shanith. “So, how do we do this?”
ooc: Feel free to move them to the next location and dismounting! I don't mind.
