A'liran smirked. He could see the haze of lust lurking behind the young man's eyes, and that was just awesome. Ali loved being desired. He loved being pursued. He loved the fact that his mere closeness was enough to make this kid blush! Ali's smile widened and he winked, slinking back into his seat and leaning lightly on one elbow.
"Why would it ruin your life?" A'liran asked. He laughed lightly, the seemingly-flippant gesture tainted by a hint of underlying pain. If only he'd been warned back in the day! He'd never trade Astoreth, nor even blame her sweet green hide for a bit of the trouble their bond had befallen him. It wasn't the green dragon's fault. It was the people.
"Blueriders, kid. Bronze and brown, too," A'liran said, nodding sagely. "Has your weyrling master talked about flights? Has he told you what happens afterwards?" There was a long pause. "...and sometimes out of flights completely?"
