A'liran was bored, and he hated being bored. He sat alone in the dining hall, having arrived a bit late to sit with his usual group of friends. He poked at his food, grimacing at how cold it had become, and pushed back from the table. He considered getting up and moving on, but the gnawing in his stomach reminded him that he probably needed to eat, even if he wasn't overly pleased with his options.
Maybe he was just focusing on the food because he didn't have anything else to focus on. Fate, however, seemed keen on remedying that. When someone small seated himself beside the greenrider, his first reaction was to draw up and spin threateningly in the intruder's direction. However, instead of seeing Z'ia as he expected, A'liran instead saw a younger man whom he was unfamiliar with.
"Oh," A'liran said, his surprise showing, though it was not displeasure. So it wasn't Z'ia. Cool.
"Nope," A'liran said, spinning back into his prior position and lifting his mug of klah. "You ain't bothering me. What's your name?"
