Erisi still wasn't sure he believed Ryvian when the twin told him his name. He also wasn't sure he wanted to call the twin 'Ryvian', just in case the Candidate was pulling a fast one on him. When he thought about it, though, he doubted anyone could tell them apart anyways. Who in Faranth's name would know if he was calling the twin by the wrong name when they couldn't confirm who it was to begin with? Erisi was probably safe to call Ryvian whatever he sharding well pleased. The twin deserved it after holding back the not-so-secret secret that he was a twin. Erisi desperately wanted to know if he had slept with both, or who he had been sleeping with the most. Unsurprisingly, the twins were tight lipped over the ordeal.
He was sure Ryvian derived some pleasure from having to tell Erisi his name, but the Weyrling refused to be ruffled by having to ask for it. "I think that's part of the problem. I'm never sure which one I'm ending up with. I still don't know, for a matter of fact." Maybe if the twins had insisted on being called by their respective names, Erisi hadn't been caught in the embarrassment revelation that they were twins. He would have caught on far more quicker if they had not liked being called Vian!
"I actually," and he reached around Ryvian to grab a glass of wine off of the table, "just came for the wine." Unsurprisingly, he hadn't brought any himself. If he was going to attend to this party, he expected to be treated like the Lord Holder that he should have been destined to be. With a smug smile, he took a small sip. "I'm supposed to be catching up to Valerian, where ever he may be. Charath has a built-in radar for him, so I'm not too concerned."
I do not!
'Where is he?'
I'm not telling you after that.
'I am sure he is direly missing your company.'
Fuck off.
