Valerian would hardly say the firelizards were crawling all over him. They preferred his lap or shoulders; it wasn’t like they were constantly going for a stroll up and down his limbs or torso. He held his tongue however since it wasn’t a major point to argue. Not even pointing out how uncomfortable it had to be to have a flitter necklace always wrapped tightly around his neck would be done since Erisi’s mood was swinging upwards and that was a much better time to be around him. So he let Erisi finish convincing him, even though he had already decided to go along with the mischief of the day. It seemed harmless enough and seeing a little chaos would be entertaining.
“Sleep is rather enticing but I guess I’ll go with you this time,” he conceded with a half-smirk before a yawn took over. Maybe a nap was the better option after all! He got to his feet and quickly dusted himself off and waited for Quill and Vex to settle back in. The lazy buggers still preferred to go for a ride on his shoulders more often than flying about above him. He didn’t mind; it wasn’t like they were that large or heavy and it helped to keep an eye on them. Quill could be so curious and Vex wasn’t fond of most people and Valerian didn’t need him going around causing trouble.
“Circle the Gathering Square before going through the Dining Hall?” Valerian wasn’t sure where else they would go other than the Crafting Hall or the Weyrfolk Hall but given the time of day, he suspected the two locations he suggested would hold more people and save them from having to hunt through multiple rooms to find anyone worth picking on. But, knowing Erisi, his friend already had a list of people he wanted to make especially miserable that day and knew where to find them. “Lead on to wherever.”
