Ellaira's eyes flicked over to watch the blue dragon stoop onto one of the wherries kept out in the hunting grounds out of force of habit. Castrated males or females deemed unnecessary for breeding, these wherries were not directly under her care - but many of them once had been, as she had such a hand in the breeding of the Weyr's avians. It was good to see a dragon hunting without chasing weight off of the beasts, and she gave Beloyarth a grudging mark in the column of her good opinion. Now, if only his rider would be willing to give her answers!
She'd forgotten by now who had first directed her towards K'ren as a Searchrider who could answer her questions. Ellaira had a bit of a hunch that it had been done on a grudge, but she was not about to let that stop her. Even she was not too bullheaded to see that K'ren was not overly pleased to see her, but shard it, she wanted her questions answered! And by Faranth's cunt, she was going to dog the man until he gave her what she wanted.
"I don't want to waste your time," she said with a polite smile, hiding her irritation as best as she could. "I know you're aware that I'm a Candidate, we've talked before. I have two children, I'm of age, and I've been a Candidate for a while. So why wasn't I selected to Stand for the Clutch?" Ellaira watched him carefully, trying to gauge his reaction. Maybe he would finally give her answers... or maybe he'd finally be tired enough of the squeaking wheel to give her some oil. She was a determined woman.
((I'm so sorry for the delay!! I promise I'll do better next time <3 ))
