Sanderon saw clearly I'shan's defensive lie. He had even expected it. The man wasn't a very good liar at all. Tilting his head slightly, he narrowed his eyes with deep consideration and listened as I'shan claimed that people just misunderstood. If that were the case, why was the man lying?
Frowning slightly he was about to ask I'shan to explain himself then when Ilveriath gave him the answer he expected Ronarth to give. Had the blue been listening again? Evidently.
N'gelt?!
Sanderon's face grew stern and his body visibly stiffened at hearing the name of the man that had lashed him during that public torture. The ache still across his back seemed to flare up as his memory of that event came clearly to his mind. If I'shan was involved with that man, he was anything but fine.
Spitting into the grass at his side, he turned his dark gaze back to I'shan. His voice was still surprisingly calm with only the slightest hint of harshness as he said, "N'gelt? You're with N'gelt?" Closing his eyes for a moment, he was extremely aware of his anger getting stronger. Shaking his head at himself, he worked hard at putting his own feelings aside and concentrated on I'shan. The man needed some serious help.
"You say people misunderstand." He offered. "Make me understand then. I'm listening." And he was. People sometimes did misunderstand. As much as he hated N'gelt, he wanted to hear what I'shan had to say.
