Hello loves! While I haven't been writing, I have been working on updating some issues that have been hanging around on the layout! The Character change box is now at the bottom of the page, beside the up/down arrows! Green and Gold dragon flight dates have been shifted to the bottom of the page, where the (useless!) discord widget was located. Where the dragon flights were in the header, is now replaced by a Monthly Event box! This will be updated at the start of each month, with a fun mini-event you can take part in, if you want to! "You don't have to be so blunt about it," Faeli grumbled, apparently to herself, as the presence dissed her and ditched. "Rude," she added, but her heart wasn't in it. Everything that had been said was true. There was still plenty of time for her to find her mate, but she also still felt like a failure for not doing so yet. It was hard not to when so many of her life long friends Impressed at their first Hatching as soon as they could Stand. Even some of the Searched were younger than her and Impressing. That was fine, no big deal, she just wasn't ready to be tied down yet, that was all! She stuck her tongue out at the egg and turned her back to it, feeling slightly better over that part of the hard truths.
The part about blood was a bit harder to refute. Sure, she got a little queasy when she saw too much of it at once, but there was more to healing than stitching up cuts! She assumed, anyway. This was why she needed to chat with M'quel, which she was definitely going to do after lunch. She wasn't going to fail at this! Faeli winced as a childhood name some of the bullies used to call her came back. Faily. The name was born when she came in last during a race and stuck when she fell out of a tree. It was just a stupid name from kids and something she hadn't been called in a long time, but Faeli didn't want to give anyone any reason to resurrect it.
Maybe she should try at all. Can't fail if you don't even try! Faeli frowned and shook her head at that attitude. Not even trying was worse. She'd never know if she was good at something if a little risk wasn't taken now and then. So she was back to definitely finding M'quel later that day. First, she had some time to get a few more eggs in. One was full of encouragement and the other was a breezy meadow on a hot day. That was all she needed and once she was several feet from the eggs, Faeli skipped over to another Candidate waiting to be dismissed to trade tales.
