The little green waited until their very special guest had settled down before she wiggled and squirmed until her head was resting on his lap. She only lifted it to chirp at Or'fus, and he let out an amused sigh as he scooted over a bit closer so that she could curl her tail around him. She settled back down with a soft and happy croon, content to cuddle everyone for the moment. The new greenrider gave his friend a grin and shrugged. "I didn't pick the timing on purpose. Though I probably would have tried to find some way to get out of cleaning."
With a soft laugh he asked, "Aren't your brothers in charge there? Why not have them get you off? Or are the sort to just hang you over a ledge by your ankles and make you do the gross chores for fun?" Or'fus didn't think they were, he'd probably have remembered if Orgailian had made that particular sort of complaint about them. Probably.
The mention of snacks had him sitting up a bit more and he grinned. "Oh really now? I hope she's doing well." It had been a little since he'd last seen the kitchen granny, or been in the dining hall at all for that matter. Between fretting over Eurydith and then finally settling into the weyrling barracks he hadn't really had much time to try and catch up with friends or acquaintances.
"Oh my, that old lady must love you." Or'fus eyed the brownies for a moment before gingerly picking one up and taking a nibble out of it. He glanced over at Eurydith and pinched off a piece to hold in front of her nose. "Do you want to try a bite? Maybe it'll help you finish your next meal." The green sniffed at it curiously for a moment, eyeing the tidbit curiously before she snaked out her tongue to delicately take the offered treat.
It tastes good, she declared after taking a moment to decide just how she felt about it. "But do you want more? Or are you getting hungry?" There was a soft speculative little hum before Eurydith brightly said, No! and flopped back down to nuzzle at Orgailian. Thank you for sharing your treat though! Do you know how they make them?
Or'fus smiled and tried not to be too worried as he gently ran one hand along her flank and tail while he finished his brownie. "Just because he brought them doesn't mean he knows."
