Another Weyr, another day of feeling up some eggs. It was a shame it wasn't a spectator sport like Hatchings but Ulliendis supposed it really wouldn't be that riveting to those watching since most everything happened in the Candidates' heads. There was the occasional amusing moments of someone falling over based on what they saw, like falling or being hit by a wave, and sometimes there were the horrible images that left people screaming and in a ball on the ground. Hm. Perhaps it was best they didn't let too many outsiders in. Still, it would have been nice for Geric to see what he had been trying to explain to his friend the night before. Ah well. He would just have to crash into Geric's comfy bed in his nice guest room later and explain the most recent visions.
He appreciated his friend humouring his latest theory that Candidates were high on hallucinogenic drugs since he didn't fully believe it anymore. Whether it was his own mind or the dragonets themselves, he'd now been told twice by eggs that he was being silly for that belief. The logistics were a nightmare no matter how he came at the idea so he really did have to believe the dragons in baby form were powerful and knew when someone came knocking on their shell. Dragons were odd creatures.
He flashed a charming smile at Cazan, but like at her last Hatching, she didn't seem to pay him much mind. Given how many men--and who they were--she had in her life, Ulliendis could understand. She wouldn't be able to handle adding him into her roster without over-exerting herself. His attention drifted back to the group he had come in with as he stood just off to the side to better watch them. An interesting mix of people and a lot of faces he swore he often ended up doing this dance with. Not that he minded since they were a good-looking group. Mylorah, as gorgeous as always, didn't seem to shine as brightly. Was that due to the two young men with her or the little incident he had dragged out of Geric? Next he saw her brothers. It was good to see them up and about a bit more than last spotted in Benden. Nearly dying didn't seem to improve Orgailian's personality all that much and it was a shame about Zoremet's scarring but perhaps he would work in a visit with the cuddle monster before the Hatching.
After checking out the others, Ulliendis finally made it seem like he was a proper Candidate and cautiously frolicked through the clutch until he stopped at a vacant egg. "Hello, eggie. Ah, number nine, I see. A good number. A little teasing loop for those that like a detour from the straight and narrow. Did you know there's also a song involving your current namesake? It's about a love potion..." Ulliendis started humming it as he set about caressing his new friend.
