He should have known better than to try and converse with the egg, Siro had been through this enough to know he couldn't just have a conversation with an unborn dragon. And yet he still found himself just blinking at the barrage of thoughts and questions, opening his mouth to stammer out a half formed answer. "It's..." And it was gone, just as suddenly as it had appeared before he could even get out another word.
Sironar stared at the egg, hand gently resting on the surface for a moment longer before he finally pulled his hand back and straightened up as he moved to the side so he could think. He wasn't afraid. Not really. Was he? He supposed part of him was. His brother had died after he got his dragon. Siro had watched his father go from the deep sadness of his mother's death to celebrating his brother's impression and then far too soon right back into grief when his brother disappeared forever between.
What if it just happened to him too? Would his father be more disappointed by him never impressing or by him just having another accident like S'fron had? The answer really was obvious, he doubt his father wanted him to die, but Siro still knew he'd be a little disappointed if he didn't impress. And part of him would be disappointed too. Siro frowned and decided to walk a bit more to clear his head before he went and found another egg to touch. It didn't matter if he was afraid of what happened if he did get a dragon. He wanted one anyway. He paused at a nice looking egg and reached out to set his hand gently on it.
Egg 1 please
