"I'll be nearby if you need me," she promised her brother before moving off to another egg that was currently vacant thanks to there being a couple more eggs than Candidates. But she didn't Touch it right away, simply stared at it. Her mind was still processing the last week's events and how close she was to losing three brothers. No one else had been attacked since but was that because the attacker was smart and lying low before striking again or had something happened in another Weyr and it was being kept hush-hush for some reason? She hated that she had to give the man credit and assume he was clever. It was likely the same person as last year, the same person that had avoided discovery. But was he a Benden resident or from another Weyr and was cleverly throwing them off in that regard as well?
It didn't do anyone any good to keep stressing over those questions. Smarter people could work on it. She was just there to be with her family and try to Impress. Maybe she'd try to fit in more time for friends as well. If she didn't Impress, she'd be shipping off to Fort soon enough and away from T'drin, N'mor, and a couple of other friends once more. Given her mood, she hadn't seen too much of them as she didn't want to make them worry but friends always did wonders for her spirit, as Fetch showed just by coming into view when she glanced around. Mylorah smiled brightly and waved and was so glad he had come to Stand again. She would definitely see him later that day to compare eggs and just to see how he was doing.
Satisfied she had her head back on mostly straight again, Mylorah took a step closer to the egg and then gasped. She hadn't written to Gangleri to tell him about the attacks! Maybe K'dar had since they were also friends but she felt awful now given Gangleri knew Orgailian. Maybe it was a good thing since she wouldn't have wanted to worry him. Now she could explain the attacks and that everyone was recovering. Good, that was good. Once again, she settled herself and then finally put a hand on the egg.
ooc: Egg 9, please!
