Ah yes, praise. Even the very vague and faint praise of calling the drawer handy was enough to feed S'far's ego and he grinned as broad and proudly as if she'd just called him the most intelligent and handsome man in all of Pern. He looked down at the table, admiring his own handiwork while also considering possible additions. Perhaps a little foot stool to match? He'd have to add that to his mental list of other projects he had in mind to build for various people. A stool wasn't that high of a priority after all. Unless Mulrissa happened to specifically mention wanting one, and then of course it would jump to the top of the list. And just in case he'd have to ask if there was anything else she happened to need or want that he could provide.
But first he was still beside himself with delight at how well this current piece was being received. "No measurements taken, these sorts of things aren't all that hard after all. Not like working with stone. Nearly broke my toe last time stubbing it on a step. This should be a bit more forgiving but still try to avoid kicking the legs, I still tried to make it sturdy for you in case one of your visiting lords or ladies gets rowdy. You know how holders can get. And speaking of, how have they been behaving for you? I know you are quite capable at handling them, but if you want I can always go have a stern word or two."
S'far gave his weyrwoman a conspiratorial wink before casually walking around to look for any changes in her décor while still paying attention to her in general. It seemed silly to keep standing and not just casually plop onto Rissa's couch like he inevitably would, but he always stubbornly waited for a more direct invitation to stay longer for tea or conversation first. A blank spot on the wall that had persisted in its bareness for some time caught his attention and he frowned. "You should put something here. If I made some sort of.. something, maybe a small shelf, would you use it?"
