Gold Egg (Mylorah)
What is this? Who are you? Why are you touching…? The questions come with fierceness that belies the underlying fear of invasion. The dragonet within is cautious and distrustful as she slinks around on the outskirt of your mind, giving sharp little jabs here and there, looking for weakness, somewhere to penetrate from. The best angle for an attack. But that doesn’t give you any fear – instead, it is more like the stalking antics of a young firelizard – a creature who thinks it is fierce, undeniably strong, impossible to defeat – and yet shrieks in fear and surprise when you touch the tip of its tail. The little gold dragon within puffs up indignantly, and then withdraws with every sensation her nose in the air.
Egg #4 (Orgailian)
Irritation was what was in store for Orgailian as his hand landed on the shell of the egg. Inside, the youngster gave an angry old man grumble, shifting and turning mentally before figuring the intrusion was coming from the young man. The dragonet gave a mental hiss, shoving against Orgailian’s mind with a sudden rush, before retreating to the corner, grumbling and unhappy about their nap having been interrupted. It had been such a good dream, too.
Egg #2 (Ulliendis)
Unlike its grumpy siblings, this dragonet latched onto the invasion with curiosity and interest, slipping easily from one through to the next and creating breezy swirls in the mind of Ulliendis. Who was he? Why was he? What was he? The questions flooded Ulliendis’ mind, and were followed by more, as any thought that managed to surface was immediately gripped, examined, and questioned – mostly on the mundane. What was grass? Why was the sky blue? Wait, what is blue? And so on.
Egg #12 (Zoremet)
The sudden Touch startled the little dragonet within the shell, but in a good way – it was so lonely all by itself where the egg had been set, without any of the sibling eggs close by, or the strong presence of mother to keep the egg warm and safe. Was Zoremet going to be their guardian, now? Why though? Was that why Zoremet felt so unsure? Was he in charge now? Oh charge of what, though? Would there be many others? Would it be lonely, being in charge? Or would it be social and loud and thriving with life?
Egg #1 (Zelana)
The cheerfulness of Zelana was infectious and the dragonet within the egg latched onto it in a flurry of curiosity as her top most thoughts were picked at, prodded, and suddenly Zelana’s mind was filled with the deepest of emerald jealousy. Who were these people when all thoughts should be on the egg and the glorious beast within. What were these plans, so confidently thought up and ready to put into play. Was that really the only reason Zelana wanted a dragon? How inappropriate! Dragons were life mates, they were to be treasured as the dragon would treasure their human. Not an over fed firelizard to be used and tossed aside when they were done with. The dragonet bristled and gave Zelana a solid mental shove, trying to get the young woman to go away!
