R'dal frowned when F'drel lingered in the doorway. Why wasn't he coming in? His worst fears were coming true and F'drel was angry about the story! No, he had to calm down. His friend was super perceptive and probably knew something was wrong by the lack of physical contact. R'dal knew he was clingy and also knew F'drel put up with it for him but he really didn't like it in general. He should be happy right now! But F'drel was also a creature of habit and liked routines so not being jumped and greeted was probably throwing him off.
"Come sit! I just started sorting my beads by colour. You can help, if you like! It's pretty soothing. I should have listened to you months ago about doing this." Maybe every do often he'd dump them all back together and sort them again. He would think about it after he finished. He suspected the satisfaction of completing the task would make him unable to purposely ruin it later on.
"Whatcha been up to? Were you in need of a break from the heat? I can get you some juice or I have klah and even coffee," he always kept the drinks on hand for F'drel and a couple of other friends who enjoyed the strong flavours. R'dal wasn't a fan of coffee and he had been told regularly how that was a good thing with how energetic he already was.
