F'drel never said too much but she appreciated when he tried and gave him a little smile as he shared the story about a sister. Knowing that he was an older brother made his concern make more sense to Quilriana, though again, it didn't take away from the theory that the greenrider was involved with her son either. Still, she was once again grateful Quinvalis had F'drel in his life in any capacity.
She nodded at the question and took a sip of her klah. "Yesterday morning. I wanted to have some good news to send so she wouldn't worry as much but I also told the messenger to stand firm. She's not allowed to see him until her brother is awake and says she can." She set her mug down and gently brushed aside some of his hair. "He wouldn't want her to see him like this. He's always been so good with looking after her."
Quinvalis really had been a gem when the kids were little and couldn't help in the tavern. He'd keep them both entertained up in their little room or play outside out of the way. Then when they were older and could help clean or prep, he continued watching over her, letting no one or anything harm her. Quilriana knew he wouldn't want his sister to see him in pain or looking so weak. He'd probably even try to hide the injuries if he could. Sweet but stubborn boy.
