T’ryn was still recovering from everything that had been thrown at them in the last little while when the second gold appeared. She was adorable with how fat she was and he really hoped she Impressed to one of his sisters. But the gold seemed to have other plans in mind and left all the girls behind to come towards them.
Oh no.
Please don’t come here, please don’t come here… she came there.
T’ryn looked at Cazan when the golden baby seemed to be talking to her and yup, Cazan seemed to have Impressed the gold and the baby wasn’t too pleased about being kept from her. He winced at the shrieking but had no idea what to do. Did he try to calm the dragon or the girl? Cazan did not seem to be having a good time and he didn’t blame her. She hadn’t signed up for a chance at a dragon, just to watch friends try for one. Surprise!
And then she was scrambling over the edge and trying to comfort the dragon. T’ryn relaxed only marginally as the pair united but as soon as Cazan looked up at him and asked for help, he knew he had to do something other than smile and congratulate them. No doubt she was worried about her cover being blown and he had to help her out and keep her secret and reputation intact. So he blurted out the first thing that sounded logical enough that came to mind.
"She wanted to come but didn't think it would look right for a Lady to come alone so she dressed as her brother to cause less of a scene!” He hoped he sounded convincing. Lying wasn’t really one of his strong suits and normally he would have been proud of that fact but now he needed that skill. He also realised the irony in the lie since dressing as her brother had now caused a larger scene than it would have if she’d been dressed as a woman. Of course the round screeching baby wasn’t helping anything either.
“It’s okay, Caz,” he whispered as he leaned over the edge and held out a hand for her to hold. “I’ll help you however I can, okay? Just let me know. But you have to focus on your dragon now and an assistant is coming over to help you. I’ll see you soon, I promise.” He offered her a smile but inside he was wondering how to fix everything and help her like he promised.
