Kel arrived on the sands like many others, half asleep but excited no less. She was surprised the eggs were already hatching, they had JUST touched them! She imagined they were in for quite the long day, considering how early it was and how many eggs there were. She didn't care, she wanted nothing more than to see all the hatchlings find their intended life partner, even if she wasn't one of them. Then again, there were a lot of hatchlings here so she let herself have some hope.
It wasn't long before things started happening and a nice brown toppled from his egg and almost immediately went off to find his partner. Two greens followed the brown and both of them ran, in only a way a hatchling can, to make their choices. "Oooh!", she said as a bronze broke free of his shell after several minutes went by with no action and wandered off to find one of the boys. She liked the bronze dragons because they were so big. She couldn't imagine having to climb up to sit on some of them. Then again, the gold dragons were often just as big. Her thoughts were pulled back to the present as a blue dragon hatched, followed by a sweet little green who faceplanted right out of the shell. The poor thing didn't have to wait long for her bonded to help her though and Kelian was glad for it.
Another egg broke open, well more like it shattered in glorious triumph as the brown hatchling within made himself known, then went running as fast as his newly hatched legs could toward the boys waiting, most of which scattered when they realized where the brown was headed. She hoped he could stop in time... Kel smiled a bit then took a chance to look around the stands. She thought to look for her family, but there were so many faces she wasn't quite sure where to look first. But until another egg hatched, she looked for them.
