T’ryn liked Vaera in the brief amount of time that he had known her but he didn’t want her to feel obligated to stay with him since everyone else had left. So he had tried to give her a polite way of ditching him without offending him since she seemed kind enough to worry about such things. When she didn’t take it and instead offered to stay and make a new friend, T’ryn actually smiled and nodded. “Yeah, you’re right.”
He settled back down beside Vaera leaning back against his dragon that seemed happier now that his rider wasn’t bolting off again.Better. Now you two take turns asking questions and telling stories. I am going to have a nap. Don’t mess this up. T’ryn gave a small crooked smile and shook his head slightly at his dragon’s words of advice. “Syrendryth is leaving me in your capable hands while he naps. So, do you have other questions about dragons?” That was a safe starting point and if they were going to talk for a while to become friends while he made sure she was recovering from the sun, they would have plenty of time to branch out.
