“I have,” F’drel shrugged in response to R’dal’s question, “but I never really made anything I couldn’t hold in one hand.” Couldn’t throw bigger snow things at sisters easily. The snowball they had now had gotten a few feet tall by that point, and there was absolutely no way F’drel could lift it in just one hand, let alone throw it at someone. He’d never throw it at someone in fun anyway, a snowball this big would hurt someone. Just hopefully wouldn’t hurt anyone today.
R’dal’s sudden mood change had F’drel blinking at him in confusion. He'd been so enthusiastic a minute ago, what had happened? The explanation made sense though — F’drel wasn’t having a miserable time, but he wouldn’t exactly call trying to roll this mound of snow fun, and it wasn’t too surprising that R’dal felt the same. Though really, F’drel sometimes felt R’dal could enjoy anything, but that may have been overestimating the man’s positivity.
“Snow’s a lot heavier than it looks,” he said by way of agreement. A change of plans that did not involve shoving this snowball around any further was fine by him. Still though, F’drel thought it was a bit disappointing if they put all this effort into the snowball and just abandoned it. “Maybe we can turn this one here into a very round gold dragon and then make the snowball clutch around her?” He suggested, feeling bad about completely dropping the enormous snowball idea when R’dal had been so excited about it. Stupid bluerider making him feel bad that they couldn’t make a giant fucking egg out of snow, how had this even happened? Friendship, Miri said wisely as she rolled around in the powdery snow in a very undignified manner. F’drel sighed.
