R'dal had been studying F'drel as he pushed the snowball, taking note of any special technique or stance the greenrider had. He was foolishly assuming again that F'drel had experience in something and would be a good master to learn from. This time, though, he caught himself doing it--eventually, it was still a rather slow process in getting to the point--and when he jumped in to help push alongside his friend, R'dal thought to ask. “Have you played in the snow before? Or is this your first time making a snow-something?”
R’dal helped push the ball for several feet before it started to require his feet digging in a bit more and all his strength was going into his arms to help keep it going. It was really starting to suck! Everyone made it seem so easy and fun but this was turning into a lot of work. What if they did make a snowman and they had to lift a ball onto another one? He was pretty sure they’d die from that. Maybe if they found a plank of wood, they could roll the second ball on top of the first. Maybe that was the proper way of doing it. Would the Lord and Lady let him search around for a board? Probably not.
Frowning, R’dal slumped against the ball with a sound of exhaustion and a good sign he was giving up for the time being. “This… isn’t exactly what I thought it’d be like.” His lower lip jutted out in a frown as he studied F’drel to see if he felt the same way or thought it was easy. It was hard to tell but F’drel seemed like he may have been in the same category of tired so he came up with a compromise of sorts. “It was fun until it got too heavy sooo… what if we made a clutch of slightly smaller eggs? We could make it a race and see who makes the most before a hot chocolate break!”
