C'dhin all but preened under the compliments and reaction Misharan had for the cake. He had to admit, it was something far above and beyond what he usually made. He enjoyed baking but typically kept it to simple but still full of flavour treats that he sometimes kicked up a notch with decorations. His cakes for special occasions usually weren't so lavish either when it came to height and the amount of decorating thrown in. But he was inspired and Mylorah had mentioned Misharan came from a simple upbringing so a fabulous cake was definitely needed.
"I'm glad you like it, and it only took three days, so not too bad," he laughed as he replied, knowing all the time spent on it was worth it for the reaction. Though, he had to agree with the statement that it was going to be hard to cut the first slice and ruin the creation. But it was made to be eaten and that was what they would do!
As Misharan went off to greet Coroth--who loved the attention and chattered happily with the birthday boy-- C'dhin peaked outside to see if anyone else was on their way. He didn't see anyone but he knew they'd be coming soon enough so he left the door propped open so the guests could just come in instead of feeling obligated to knock. That done, he felt he only had one job left as host, for the moment, and poured two glasses of wine, one of which was swiftly given to Misharan. Now he could sit back and enjoy the party knowing his duties were done until cake was wanted.
