“I’m sure Miri would have some words for me if I tried to leave,” F’drel said with an eye roll, still watching his ridiculous dragon. Because she was making a friend, so he had to be making one too. He didn’t feel terribly inclined to take T’ryn up on the offer to ask more questions — he couldn’t think of anything he’d actually feel comfortable asking — so he just shook his head, glancing over as the sound of T’ryn shifting position caught his attention.
He snorted softly at T’ryn saying F’drel could punch him. Like he was ever going to hit a bronzerider he’d just met, even lightly and with permission. He wasn’t that stupid, even if he had a bad habit of blurting out snarky shit instead of holding his damn tongue. And, with any luck, said bronzerider would think he was laughing at the offer of a new sister, not at the offer to smack him.
“As lovely as your sister is, I already have four and I think a fifth would just be overwhelming, so I’ll have to pass,” he said mildly with his arms wrapped around his knees, thoughts drifting to said four sisters (and one little brother) as T’ryn seemed to settle back into silence.
