"You don't need to be sorry." Far assured the Healer. It was kind of silly, to be reassuring the Healer that it was okay if he... His mouth tightened, and his eyes found the healer's hands again. Swift and sure, "They're such nice hands." he mused aloud, unthinking. "Some of the nurses are just so brisk, they don't even think about it." He swallowed, almost glancing nervously away from the man next to him. Their interactions always made him uncomfortable, in some ways. There was something niggling, just out of reach, aside from his fondness for the Healer. He couldn't decipher what it was., it was too amorphous and alien.
Talian's sigh made him jump a bit, inadvertently, and Farlint didn't even notice that he didn't wince when his leg siezed and tensed under the Master Healer's hand. Why was Talian flushed? Was he ill? Just what the Weyr needed- Talian falling ill. Not that there was no one to replace him briefly, but- Shards! His mind whirled, and he didn't even know what he was thinking anymore. Farlint could feel his hands starting to tremble, and said finally "I guess I'll give you a pass on washing my hair just this once."
It was the least he could do, and it would certainly help him to settle. "I feel much better Talian." He said the other man's name hesitantly, staring at the slender hands blankly. "Thank you."
Sorry it is short.
