Jalazmar had spent breakfast with his betrothed, finding he might actually enjoy her company. It was early days still but she was fun to chat with and he found it even more delightful to rile her up a bit with some gentle teasing. He had even found out the day before that he got along fairly well with her beloved cat, Sunshine. So far so good! However, Xyliah was whisked away by some attendents after she was finished eating so she could deal with more wedding preparations. Well, he assumed that was it anyway. It was probably a dress fitting or maybe she did have a lot of say for what the wedding would entail. Jalazmar had been of the opinion it would be a small and simple fair just to get it over and done with and satisfy his father.
He had returned to his rooms while he considered what he could fill his day with. He really did want to roam around the area a bit to find the best tavern for drinks, best place for food, and what the local merchants sold. He had heard Fort and Telgar could be similar in size and mundane things, but they each had their own trends when it came to fashion and indulgences.
He had just made up his mind on his course of action for the day when a knock interrupted him. Jalazmar did his best to hide the bit of confusion he felt at learning his cousin, Lord Jimeridan of Nabol, had sent him a message, but not in paper form. He had sent a woman to bring him a message. He certainly hoped it wasn't the girl he was supposed to marry a few years ago! That might be a tad awkward to explain to Xyliah.
As he entered the room he was shown to, Jalazmar was rather relieved to find he didn't recognize the woman standing there, or even the man pacing around like a caged animal. He wondered if he would recognize someone from ten or so years ago, though. Well, best get his lordly duties out of the way so he could go back to fun and exploring.
"Good day to you both," he greeted cordially before focusing his attention on the woman. "I am Lord Jalazmar. I'm told you have a message for me?"
