Indivara stared at M’dox as he began babbling, torn between amusement and horror at the way the younger dragonrider was reacting. If her eyebrows hadn’t already been arched, they would have done so at the way he was babbling and calling her ‘ma’am’ like it was going out of fashion. She kind of liked the sound of it, honestly, and she mentally elbowed Venseth to make him pay attention to the scene before her. She heard him sigh and apologise quietly to Riquarth. Indivara rolled her eyes, dramatically, not caring that M’dox would think she was doing so at his expense… When you thought about it, she kind of was.
When her gaze settled back on M’dox, she waved her right hand airy, dismissing him, and watched him flee. Then she turned on her heel, and skipped back to her weyr, barging into the rooms she shared with V’ler and draping herself over him dramatically as she burst out laughing so hard her stomach hurt and it actually ended up that she was using her fellow bluerider to hold her up, probably to his irritation (it did look like he had been working on something before she interrupted him. She didn’t care.)
“Oh Val!” She dissolved into giggles again. “You’ll never guess what just happened!” Waiting for his expected long-suffering sigh and attention to be turned towards her and not whatever he was working on, Indivara sat on the edge of the desk and delighted in retelling the tale of what had just happened.
