“That does sound like something some of the blueriders would do,” she was friends with a very small handful of people and somehow they all seemed to ride a blue dragon, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t aware of their reputations and how some of them – including her horrible no good ex-boyfriend – behaved. Rhaedalyn pouted again at R’nya being proper and serious with his new job title. She didn’t expect anything less of him but she still held onto a small sliver of hope that maybe, just maybe, he’d shirk some duties for a small period of time. She knew it was a bit selfish of her to keep wanting the bronzerider to herself and part of the reasoning was she genuinely wanted to hang out with him that day but she also knew he accepted her and she could be herself around him. She still didn’t know where she truly fit in now that they had new roles and a new Weyr to get running.
R’nya unknowingly helped her find out some of the roles she was supposed to apparently be covering and Rhaedalyn sat up and stared with large hazel eyes at the man. “I… what? I… I don’t know. I don’t think I’d be very helpful with that and I certainly don’t know anyone that could help,” she was beginning to panic over such a responsibility. She had said not too long ago that she wanted to be a role model for ladies hoping to Impress gold so what would be so different about overseeing all of the Candidates? “Maybe I could do it… is there a book of rules or something to help me help them?” She wrapped the blanket tighter around her and hunched down into it a bit as she thought about the job she was supposed to do. She supposed she could ask R’nd and B’jin for advice as well since they did weyrling classes and would know how to handle large groups.
