J’ver flexed his leg as the hot water finally worked its way through tender muscles. It felt like healing from the broken leg caused by the landslide had taken ages and sitting idle for so long nearly drove him insane. Now that he was back up and moving and catching up on everything for himself – instead of relying on a few of those he held in his pocket – he found it was nice to have the quiet down time once more and relax in baths or lounge on soft bedding. Even when he was still mending, however, some things he hadn’t been able to miss. Hatchings and important announcements had him calling for minions to help move him from his room to the gathering place of choice so he could observe once more.
Sirbuth’s hatching had come at a time after he was able to walk once again on his own without assistance from people or canes. Perhaps that was why he was something akin to affectionate towards the dragonets. “Indeed I was. I’m glad I was able to make it as well as it was most enlightening.” J’ver knew who Sirbuth was and what he had done only days prior, yet he had no fear of the pair. Dragonets didn’t harm humans unless they were a threat to their bonded and while Sirbuth could certainly use intimidation tactics, J’ver wasn’t concerned, having dealt with such things all his life from humans.
“I’m always on the lookout for individuals with like minds and ambitions, after all.” J’zek was of a good age for influencing and moulding into someone useful but Sirbuth was too young still to have any sway. It didn’t matter, though, not when the two or so turns before the bronze could use his rank to get his way could be used for the influencing of the rider. It was just a shame that J’zek still seemed so… Holder. Sex wouldn’t be a good motivating factor but J’ver suspected the promise of power might be enough to keep the young man interested.
