"...You know, she and I used to look at the stars a lot ourselves," he said, trying to make the transition seamless. His success was debatable, but there was something sincerely positive about his new tone.
"I sometimes have trouble sleeping at night, so I'll go outside and watch them for a while. They really are lovely, though...they look different here." He couldn't even pick out the familiar shapes among them anymore...
