B’jin’s slightly anxious expression softened, and he shook his head slightly in answer to the worried bluerider’s question, giving him a slightly dry smile. The young man had a long way to go in the realms of nasty before he would do anything B’jin considered harm, notably considering some of the men the greenrider in question had been tangled with; V’ler was far from damaging and B’jin’s light smile was teasing as his good mood returned. “Not by a long shot, Valerian.” B’jin was pretty sure that his unwilling partner hadn’t so much as left a finger print. Probably a good thing, considering how R’nd could fuss!
B’jin giggled softly, but shook his head with a smile to put off any questions from Valerian; it wouldn’t be worth trying to explain, but the sound and the placid expression on B’jin’s face would likely be all the information Valerian would need to know he wasn’t the reason for the soft sound of amusement. R’nd would be in a fantastic mood when he got home, with Larrikith having informed him that Ayyonth had not even bothered to give chase. B’jin knew enough from Larrikith’s tone that Ayyonth not chasing had not been a slight against her, so the dragons were likely up to some mischief that Veeth had managed to make the most of.
“R’nd is going to be terribly put out,” B’jin stated cheerfully, sounding more like a child who had stolen a handful of sweets from under the watchful gaze of a guardian than a lover who’d wound up with the wrong partner. He was clearly delighted by the whole situation though, with an almost childish glee that belied several things; his trust in R’nd that the bluerider wouldn’t punish him for a flight he hadn’t won, and the fact that he’d never gotten to enjoy a flight with someone who wasn’t technically supposed to win. N’mall had been a very jealous lover, and every flight Larrikith had denied his brown (which had been every flight) the more he’d hated them. Frankly, B’jin thoroughly relished the fact that in the past four turns, he’d woken up beside only five different men, though he could have done without the one S’kef had won.Browns cheat, Larrikith drawled, snuggling closer to Veeth.
“Ayyonth didn’t even give chase,” B’jin giggled again, a naughty little sound, as if he were solely responsible for Ayyonth’s terrible teasing of R’nd, and grinned at Valerian. “I’ll have to make it up to him!” Brown eyes sparkling, he watched Valerian carefully, baiting the young man and wanting to see him blush. Usually B’jin was the one that ended up blushing from being teased, but he knew Valerian had a few buttons… he just had to find the right one, and hope the younger man didn’t send him into a blushing fit!
