B'jin, in his usual capacity for being utterly oblivious, was quite unaware of how R'nd would likely view his being tucked away with D'hys for cooking lessons, let alone how the Weyr itself might view the sudden arrangement. All said and done, B'jin was completely unaware of the whispers that often accompanied D'hys' name, from the true, to the false, to the extreme, in either realm of positive or negative. All B'jin honestly knew was that d'hys was being so nice and helping him out and that was all that mattered!
A frown marred B'jin's face as D'hys spoke and he puffed out an exaggerated grumbling sigh of agreement; he was clearly displeased by the prospect of having to wait yet more. Hadn't they waited enough already?Clearly not, Larrikith drawled, and B'jin could sense the mental eyeroll the green dragon gave in addition to the words she spoke. He ignored her, partly because that was his natural response to Larrikith's snide input; mostly, however, it was because D'hys was poking at his nose and B'jin's eyes widened dramatically and he pulled his head back some. A frown returned to the greenrider's face, and only the fact that he could tell where D'hys' finger had been on top of his nose prevented the greenrider from assuming D'hys was eating his boogies.
Eyebrows still furrowed, B'jin's lips twisted into an ironic smile at the thought, but it was also more than a little disgusting to think about and the chocolate batter was so delicious that B'jin was disinclined to toss it aside because of images of D'hys eating snot. Shaking his head, and banishing the thought even as Larrikith latched onto it with a vocal chitter of amusement and sudden distraction fo going to show Ayyonth the very untrue image of D'hys sticking his finger up B'jin's nose to find dessert, B'jin eyed his companion thoughtfully. “Oh. Sorry.” Still eyeing the bluerider contemplatively, B'jin shrugged slightly. “You didn't seem like you were interested.”
Okay, so he hadn't gone out of his way to extend the bowl to D'hys, but neither had the bluerider made grabby hands that B'jin knew would have been forthcoming if the man were truly interested in sharing his bounty. His attention shifted to the icing bowl at the mention of it from D'hys, and B'jin frowned again. “Is the cake almost ready now, then?” eager brown eyes turned back to stare up at D'hys, widening emphatically with excitement.
