As the man fell back with a strange noise Firah couldn't help but smile. Kymi wasn't the biggest canine around, only coming up to about his knee, so to be surprised by her was a spectacle indeed. Well he'd better go apologize. The Beastcrafter stood with a soft sigh and started to meander over to the guy watching as Kymi bounced around him eagerly. The canine was more than happy to but her head against the offered fingers with a bark. She bounded over to her ball and retrieved it for the man, dropping it ceremoniously into his lap with expectant eyes. Despite making funny noises the human didn't look like he was aggressive, so obviously it meant that he was going to throw the ball for her.
"You can pet her if you want. She's friendly." The guy looked pretty young, maybe one of the teens that had been moved to the Southern continent with the Riders? Firah flashed the boy a smile and began to offer the boy a hand to help him up, until he noticed the knots on the boy's shirt. While it didn't stop him from continuing to offer aid to the boy, it did cause a noticeable hesitation in his movement. Even his smile dropped a level of pleasantry. Weyrling Bluerider huh? They Impressed them early didn't they? He could not fault the boy for becoming a Weyrling but still it didn't change the fact that the kid was now a Dragonrider. In training or no. "Yeah anyway, sorry about that. Should'a looked around where I was aiming. You're not hurt, are you?" He asked a little gruffly. Though he may dislike Dragonriders on principle Firah wasn't one to leave someone if they'd been hurt. Especially if they'd been injured due to his own negligence.
Not one to be ignored Kymi pranced around Firah's feet in a constant circle, yipping occasionally to remind him that she was there. It was time to play after all. He should pay attention to her. He should also get the ball and throw it if the other human wasn't going to throw it for her. Switching her attention to the other male she broke from her circle to prance around him. She didn't care who did it but somebody needed to throw the ball for her right now!
