There is Impression, then there is the ‘yay, I searched that kid!’ Impression – then there is the ‘FUCK YEAH MY BOY IMPRESSED BRONZE MOTHER FUCKERS’ – and that was pretty much where B’jin was at as Indamor and the young bronze dragonet Impressed, the greenrider letting loose a whoop of delight even as he spun around to kiss R’nd soundly before dancing on the spot in joy. Indamor got bronze! Bronze! His boy had Impressed a bronze – a bronze!
He’d thought for sure that little blue was going to pick his boy, and while B’jin would have been very disappointed – his kid was worth more than a blue hide! – he hadn’t dared hope and then the boy had, he had! A bronze! A wonderful, amazing, worthy bronze! B’jin laughed softly, brown eyed gaze sweeping the Sands to make sure they were all indeed Hatched (every last one!) before spinning around to throw his arms around R’nd in delight before the bluerider could sneak off.
Kissing R’nd again with laughing lips, B’jin reluctantly released the bluerider and stepped away from him. He had twenty seven (well, technically fifty-four) youngsters to herd off to bed in the Weyrling Barracks and then he had so much paperwork to fill out before he would get to go to bed himself. It could wait until morning, but B’jin would rather get it over with; flashing another smile at R’nd, B’jin spun around to start collecting his new ducklings.
The youngsters were herded into the closest end of the Weyrling Barracks, before being further shuffled off to their own rooms; there would be plenty of time to check out each other’s dragonet in the morning! With dragonets and youngsters alike collapsing not too long after arrival, B’jin made his way to his own room, sighing dramatically as he lit a glow and set about getting the paperwork settled before the morning rolled around.
