As she went back to tweaking the strings, pausing in the practice of the little tune, the sound of a somewhat cruel voice caught her attention. She stopped immediately, her eyes guility sliding from the guitar to the man standing in front of her, looking down at her in irritation and discomfort. She hadn't realized the guitar was that far out of tune...it wasn't something she was able to practice every single day, and she was definitely new to the instrument.
His words somehow struck her, and it made her feel awful, as well as angry. It hadn't been great, but she hadn't meant to be out of tune! It galled her that some riders would rather snidely comment instead of helping correct issues like this. She curled her lip, carefully balancing the guitar over her lap before beginning to fiddle with the strings, trying once again to start the tuning process from the beginning.
After a couple seconds on the first string, she winced and noted to herself that while it had sounded okay before, it definitely wasn't as good as it could be. She slowly turned it, cringing when the note became strangled, before trying to turn it again. It sounded a little better this time, but she still wasn't there. She frowned from the guitar to the rider, before just stopping all together. "So I can't tune it. B'jin didn't really give me much lesson on how to do that - maybe you can help, since you seem even less fond of the sounds I'm producing than I am."
