“Golds are for sissies,” Indivara scowled, ignoring the goldriders in their vicinity and the candidates for exactly that type of dragon. Kahleena seemed far too busy wriggling her way over to see Rhaedalyn to hear anything Indivara said, and Jada had heard it all a million times before. The girl had made no attempt to alter either her tone or the level in which she spoke. Everyone knew her opinions on such things, and if the stupid Northerner wasn’t up to date, well then, she would update him! Idiot Northerners and their brainless stupidity!
“I am not Impressing a stupid blue!” Indivara snapped, even as Krypth rumbled out a laugh and Indivara snapped both hands out to clamp over the gold dragon’s nostrils. Krypth had made it abundantly clear ever since she learned of Indivara’s desire to Impress bronze that the girl would be much better off with a nice, lovely blue – and not some stupid bronze. The beast tugged her head free easily enough, jerking Indivara enough that both of her firelizards took off with disgruntled squawking and fluttered around above the girl’s head.
The comment about dangerous dragonets caused Indivara to stiffen dramatically, rage flaring up on her features as she threw herself off Krypth – who gave a sudden bark – and straight at Isscer, intent on tackling him to the ground, the same moment her fist was flying for his face. Indivara had many known buttons; most of them depended on the girl’s current mood, as to exactly how badly she would react when one was pushed. Her diminutive height and her scarred features, however, were guaranteed to get the feisty little brat to leap into battle.
Blood Sucker and Psh screeched, the two firelizards swarming around the head of their human and then around Krypth, landing on her head anxiously when the dragon called them to order. Despite the gold dragon’s bark of surprise when the girl flew off her leg, she seemed remarkably unfazed by the very Indivara-esque reaction, and simply stood up, shifting so as that she could lie down once more, and protect her eggs from the ruckus the brat was creating.
