Eyebrows arched up in amusement as Rhaedalyn came scrambling back, babbling once more though notably without the odd expression that had resulted of nervous face squishing. That had been a whole new level of adorable, And hilarious, Xyreith added, to which R’nya allowed with a slight nod of his head. The bronzerider shook his head slightly as Rhaedalyn picked up the pot, never stopping in all her anxious babbling. “Relax, Rhaedalyn.” How the girl kept up with her own high-strung emotions, R’nya had no idea. How she managed it at such a late hour he had even less understanding!
“It is okay, Rhaedalyn.” R’nya sighed softly, wondering if the young woman was listening to him at all; she certainly did not look like she was paying a lick of attention as she fussed around, collecting her things – and his things – and random things. She was leaving her firelizards apparently and R’nya shook his head in tired bemusement. The girl made no sense, the bronzerider frowning slightly as another apology was babbled amongst all the other words. A tired hand rubbed lightly at R’nya’s temple as he fought off a headache.
“Rhaedalyn.” R’nya waited until he was sure he had the fretting young woman’s attention, lifting pale blue eyes to stare at her pointedly. “It is fine,” the third word was emphasised with quiet insistence. The last thing he needed was for the poor girl to feel as if she could not come to him when she needed his attention (so long as it was purely platonic!) and she was clearly working herself up as though she would never be welcome near him again. She was truly exhausting!Dunno why you bother, Xyreith put in snidely. R’nya ignored him.
“It is fine.” He repeated, just to make sure she heard.
