Being pregnant was at times a joy and an absolute pain. There were times where she felt radiant and beyond giddy and then there were times where all she wanted to do was hide. She was at that point where she was just beginning to show and was more self conscious that ever. She was struggling with the attitude in the Weyr that her pregnancy was a good thing when she had no spouse to claim it along with the fact that Echlerov seemed far too busy now to spend time with her like he had done before. Of course then there were the bouts of sickness. Sometimes when she smelled certain things, other times there was no reason and all she could keep down was stale bread.
That day had been a rather exhausting one, but thankfully hadn't prompted any vomiting. She had collapsed into bed shortly after the evening meal, however, and in no time was snoring softly, fast asleep. It wasn't a particularly deep sleep though, as perhaps an hour into the night her mattress shifted and someone curled up against her side. Jisralna stirred and groaned, not quite alert or certain what had woken her. Then the body next to her shifted and her eyes shot open. What in the name of the First Egg...
Turning her head she squinted in the dim light even as she pushed herself up, clutching the covers to her. She could just barely make out the form of an individual curled up in fetal position beside her. It was just dim enough that she couldn't determine a gender. Reaching out she hesitated and then poked the person in the arm. "Uhh..."
