S'kef laughed lightly. "J'ver," he said, his tone a blend of condescension and fondness. "Do you think I want to wind up having to whip you? Be a good boy and don't consider such a thing," he advised, his tone smooth and confident with just a hint of deeper implications. S'kef was rough, both in bed and in general. He had no qualms with admonishing Jver, and in reality he probably wouldn't have any problem whipping him, either. The slight laugh he gave at the end seemed to indicate a brighter mood, but also contained traces of sly warning.
He knew J'ver liked to play games. S'kef wasn't in the mood for games, though. He wiped a bit of sweat from his forehead and sighed. "Don't even start," he warned, shooting a warning glance at J'ver when he mentioned information on B'jin. A wicked smile crossed the brownrider's face. "Out with it, then," he requested with gentle firmness, serene and calm...completely expecting compliance. He was like a king sitting on his throne, waiting expectantly for his subject to kneel.
So nothing out of the ordinary thus far.
Having J'ver close was helping to soothe S'kef's nerves. He felt more himself and less like a helpless patient waiting to die. He'd grown sicker and sicker, but in the process, more and more determined to come out of it swinging. It was good to have J'ver out there working for him. He didn't show it though, choosing to stay cold and comfortably aloof for now. He'd display some affection for the greenrider when he earned it...like by giving out the information like a good boy.
