D'ren appreciated Jada's guts. She was obviously quite nervous, yet she still pushed herself forward. That was the key. D'ren had never allowed daunting circumstances to intimidate him, and that trait alone had gotten him quite far in life.
Unfortunately, it also made his life hard. Hopefully, Jada would soon learn the catch to Impressing metallic. It wasn't the easy life of luxury that many thought of it as; it hadn't even been before the plague! There was a lot of responsibility and stress involved, but it looked like nervous Jada was still striding forward with her head held high. That was a good sign.
D'ren nodded and moved into the kitchen, pouring a mug for each of them as he invited Jada to sit down. "Of course. Here you are," he said, sliding hers closer to her seat before sitting down himself.
"It sounds like you've been busy, then," he said, tucking away a distant amusement at her little confession. He remained patient with her. "Well, go right ahead then. I've kept you waiting long enough, and I don't have anywhere to be until this evening. We can talk as long as you need to."
No one was so helpful or polite to you when we were little Ronarth observed with approval. He'd already forgotten his anxiety over Krypth and was contentedly poking his nose at the kitchen window, watching them with bright eyes, waiting to see what kind of ideas and questions Jada had. Ronarth could tell his bonded was pleased with the little goldrider's progress and was optimistic about her future.
Optimism. It was good to feel that in his bonded again. It had been a while.
Nope D'ren responded, They didn't. But we're going to give Jada the best possible chance we can.
