An’tell opened his mouth to respond but no words came and he closed it again. Did he want Erinath to catch Coroth again? Yes, because Erinath seemed to like Coroth well enough and he wanted his dragon to be happy. But beyond that, he wasn’t sure. Did he, personally, want to win again? Until that point An’tell hadn’t really been expecting that he might be winning the same person more than once, considering he so rarely considered the possibility of winning at all. But now that it was a viable possibility he clearly would have to think about it.
He was pulled from his thoughts by C’dhin speaking again, taking a few seconds to register what the other man said. An’tell had only just processed the phrase ‘good bye kiss’ before C’dhin was, in fact, kissing him, and An’tell was thrown back into trying to figure out how he felt about everything that had happened since he woke up.
For one, he didn’t usually stay long with whoever he’d ended up with post-Flight. Long enough to be polite, but not much more than make sure they’re awake and not panicking or something before heading out. An’tell did not tend to ‘stay for seconds’ as he’d heard people phrase it, and on the occasions he did it was always with women. He’d been rather pointedly avoiding thinking about sleeping with men; the holder upbringing was hard to shake, even after turns in the Weyr. Flights An’tell had been able to handwave away as ‘not him,’ but this was after a Flight and he was decidedly in control of himself and he quite possibly wanted to kiss this greenrider. And An’tell was still resisting actually dealing with how he felt about any of it.
Stop thinking so hard and kiss him back already, Erinath sighed, voice tinged with exasperation, accompanied by a mental push of some of the memories from the Flight and how nice it was. That was apparently all it took to convince the bronzerider; An'tell returned the kiss, using the arm around C'dhin to pull him closer into a better position, other hand curling into C’dhin’s hair. Erinath hummed approvingly before turning his attention back to his own lovely green.
In that case I will be quite happy to do this again sometime, he said, twining his neck around Coroth’s. The large bronze had grown rather fond of Coroth while their riders spent time together, and he genuinely enjoyed being around her — winning this and possible future Flights was a nice bonus.
