B'jin laughed softly at Talian's blunt wording, squeezing affectionately before loosening the hold and frowning down at Talian as he mentioned his father. Irritation and disgust warred on the man's face at the mention of the healer's father, before he brushed him off with an irritated snort and dropped another kiss on Talina's head. B'jin was a lot of things, but he was very proud of the fact that he wasn't a heartless son of a bitch. "That man is not worth the air he breathes," B'jin said dismissively, brushing the nasty topic aside with a scrunched up nose.
"As for your girl," B'jin sighed softly and stepped back lightly, releasing Talian from his grip. "I will check on her, for you. But it may have to wait until Winter. We're not meant to be seen within the same area for certain amounts of time." B'jin grimaced, even going in Winter would likely be cutting it close. The fact that he was last seen there just before a master healer went missing was not really needed to be added. While he might not be kidnapping anyone, he would likely end up asking interesting questions as he searched for the girl Talian was so smitten with, and that in itself could cause some interesting gossip. He had no desire to earn a reputation while on the Northern continent; Larrikith was too good a Searcher to lose her because of him doing something foolish.
"If that is how you feel, than there isn't much you can do about it, Tal." B'ji offered uselessly. "Dragonflights are meant to be... liberating," B'jin offered, his expression slightly comical, "Larrikith uses them to 'expand my horizons'" those three words were exceedingly sarcastic. It wasn't quite the same as refusing to sleep with another girl because the one he loved was missing, but B'jin had only had two lovers - who were lovers. Larrikith's flights were the only form of action he'd gotten for over two (or was it three?) Turns. He didn't quite feel like admitting that at the moment, but figured Talian would get the general idea.
"Me too." B'jin murmured, not really keen on diving back into that pile of torn up memories. Instead, he just snorted in amusement as he offered to make him a kind of sleeping draught. "That's alright, Tal," B'jin smiled, amused. "I'd rather not be unconscious if the children come around and it's enough of a risk to sleep while Larrikith is breathing. Passing out might be pushing it." The cheerful wink he gave indicated he was teasing. Maybe.
