B'jin stopped, obviously started, and stared at Talian with widened eyes, before tilting his head and letting amusement wash over his features. "Yes," he answered, highly amused as he watched the young man guzzle the glass of juice he'd just given him. The greenrider took the empty glass back with airs of hilarity and a subtle smile forming across his lips.
"Painful," he laughed, delighting in Talian's fiery curiosity. "It turns the area into a field of small boils, heats up, burns painfully." He paused for a moment, considering thoughtfully. He gave Talian a highly amused look at the boy's apparent mellowing when B'jin's mental health was brought up and the man rolled his eyes good nurturedly and gave him a wink. Stepping lightly, having decided in that moment, B'jin went to a chest of draws on the far side of the room and began digging around, muttering under his breath to himself. Pulling back, he held a small jar in one hand, the lid tightly sealed. Returning to Talian his face was still a picture of amusement.
"You owe me no explanation, Tal. I was surprised, but hardly disapproving. Erisi is an, interesting," he paused a moment before choosing a word to describe the young Harper, but it came out in no way negative, "choice of companion, but I would hardly disapprove of someone who was so quick to defend your honour." B'jin winked. "If you wish, than go ahead. I am a whore for juicy details."
He held out the jar, and grinned. "Relax, Tal," laughter was in his voice then, amused by the Healer's squeak. "Would you like to study me?" B'jin didn't really give Talian a chance to reply as he clicked the jar lid open; the scent of numbweed bellowed out. B'jin held out his wrist, and used a small sliver of wood to dip into the salve. Not giving Talian a chance to stop him, the man leaned backwards slightly away from the Healer and put a slim line of the - usually - numbing agent on his wrist, lengthwise.
It took about thirty seconds before it erupted into small boils. B'jin was watching it with interest, before grinning at Talian, highly amused. "Well?"
