Rhaedalyn looked shyly at her cookies as the men discussed them and interacted so wonderfully together. They were indeed chocolate chip and she was impressed with R’nd’s sense of smell but she still admired their friendship and ease around each other. That admiration only grew when they were ushered almost immediately to the table.
The cookies were set down to the side and she sat down, wondering if it really was okay to dine with the riders. She felt so out of place even though she was on friendly terms with both men. When the soup was given to her, Rhaedalyn finally beamed and inhaled slowly to savour the scent of a specially crafted homemade meal. It smelled wonderful and she couldn’t wait to dig in! She refrained when I’shan gave his apology and a frown replaced her smile as she watched the older bluerider for a moment. Why was he apologising? Hadn’t they already gone over all of that earlier? She still felt she had more to be sorry about than I’shan.
When the confession came that N’gelt had actually left him, Rhaedalyn covered her mouth with both hands to keep from gasping. She was so insensitive! She wanted to rush over and hug him but he seemed so calm about it. It was like it didn’t even bother him. Then again, he had said it was a while ago so the time needed for any healing may have helped in that moment. Still, she stayed seated and alternated between staring at her soup and the blueriders.
