Her name was being...What was the word. Shanith put in, too helpfully, purred . The brought up the idea of D'hys as a feline, and predictably, sent her into hysterical laughter. He'd have made a good one. Occasionally cuddly, but very much the predator.
She pulled her laughter under control when Shanith started looking at her like she'd grown a second head, reaching up to pat the dragon. "I'm fine."
Liar.
Ravana shook her head, making a note to find something relaxing to do soon. Hysterics weren't fun to deal with, for the one having them or the unfortunate soul having to deal with them. "In my own defense, I do know the theory. I just couldn't...be stared at anymore, knowing they'll all believe it and word'll get back to B'run and he'll believe it...and..."
She was working herself up again and cut herself up at the pass with a jerk. She hesitated then let herself respond to the kindness in his smile, taking his hand in both of hers for a moment. "You're right. I should laugh this off." She offered him a smile. "I've more important things to worry about, like the ongoing hell that is wing practice."
Shanith nuzzled her and she gently nudged her green's nose out of her face. "Sorry, I'm a little tightly wound these days." She offered him a crooked smile that barely touched her eyes.
She bit her lip then asked, "D'hys? I..." She thought better of asking him what she'd been about to ask him, and asked instead, briskly, "What do I owe you for the heads up about the parchment?" Better to ask now than leave it until later. She did try and square things off with him as much as she could, though suspected he was amassing quite the collection of her oils. At least she was good at making those. She seemed to stink at everything else.
