Mizeath murmured happily when the little flits belonging to the smaller girl came to curl next to her sprawled body. She enjoyed the happy little creatures nearly as much as she enjoyed Ameris and Rislan. Mud chittered to the two new additions to their dragon pile and was content with them being close to his gold, provided they didn't think to climb on her of course. Possessive little bugger. Are you nearly finished digging in the dirt? the dragonet asked her rider, a hint of reproach in her voice. Ameris shook her head as she continued to shuffle through the sand in search of a bit of shell with a tiny grin on her lips. Mizeath never could understand why Ameris felt the need to be in the middle of everything which included dirt. And Ameris never could seem to get Mizeath to understand that it was soothing to her. One day they'd come to gripes with each other.
Her head turned when the little brown flew between her and Arddra, dropping bits on shining shells. "He found something!" she exclaimed a touch disappointed that she had yet to find what she searched for, "And they look to be good sized too!" Her hand sifted through the sand and she gasped as a tiny sliver found the tip of a finger. Blast it! Shaking her hand out she watched the thin sliver of a sickly green fall to the sands. A sliver belonging to the egg Quelseth had hatched from. Reaching out she pocketed the shell, perhaps S'cer would like to have it.
She grimaced at the size of the shell Arddra had found, but for the green shell, Ameris had found nothing and her disappointment was heavy.Perhaps if you ask one of your friends they will let you have a bit, Mizeath reasoned with a gentle croon. Though the gold disliked when Ameris acted the tomboy she disliked when her rider felt anything but happiness more. Ameris murmured noncommittally. She didn't want to take away from the girls currently shuffling through the dirt, unwilling to demand they give her their find, she could find her own. "No," she replied slightly mulishly, "I haven't found anything."
