Ilveriath noticed their approaching company before his rider did. It was to be expected, since I'shan was rather oblivious much of the time. Ilveriath, by contrast, was observant enough for both of them. Ayyonth approaches, along with his bonded the blue purred, twisting in the grass and resting his wedge-shaped head beside his rider. As well as a girl who is unknown to me the beast added.
I'shan sat up swiftly, his slender body sliding into a sitting posture without any effort. A quick scan of the square revealed both figures; that of a familiar bluerider and an unfamiliar girl. I'shan waved at each of them in turn, though admittedly his friend recieved his first attention. I'shan liked the younger bluerider; R'nd was playful and outgoing enough to be lots of fun, and didn't tend to get hung up on how I'shan got himself into messes here and there.
"It's been a while," I'shan purred as he rose from the grass, taking a moment to dust a few stray pieces off of his clothes. He beamed at R'nd and extended one hand for a shake. "How's it going?"
Ilveriath lifted his thin neck and turned his eyes on Lymsleia. He didn't greet her verbally, but he did crane his neck closer to give her a good sniff-over. I'shan spun around. "Well, look at that..." he said in a soft, rolling voice with just a hint of amusement. Ilveriath was on the friendly side, though he lacked the vigor of, say, the Weyrleader's bronze.
"You look familiar," I'shan said pointedly.
