Oahvakeen had meet Kahleena in a kitchen some time ago, and she had been as awkward and obtuse as he was. Now that he was actually wanting a weyrmate by his side, she seemed like plenty a fitting choice. However, it had been some time since he'd actually seen her. He remembered that he had ran out of the last hatching, and been more than surprised to hear the news from others that the woman had bonded with a gold. The shy, quiet kitchen girl was now a gold rider.
When he felt stirrings inside his body, others had felt them too, and the names of Kahleena and Okalinath were heavy in the air. If his dragon could catch the gold, he'd surely secure Kahleena's bed and heart.
"Dragon! Go catch Okalinath!", he started to say outloud. But then he realized that he was a metal worker. And more importantly, that he had no dragon at all. And then he remembered that he didn't want one.
He didn't have much else to think as a female green rider had spotted him, her eyes full of flight lust. Neither the green rider nor Oahvakeen thought a single thought after that for a very long time. fade out/exit
