General Description:
Slender and lean, which makes it even more difficult to tell him apart from his twin. They are spitting images of each other, their muscle definition similar as though they work out exactly the same way for the exact amount of time as the other. It is unlikely that Nyvian will be one of the beefier Katilans, since no matter how active he is he only has developed so far a small layer of muscle. His complexion is tanned and even, though there are a few freckles on his shoulders and back.Nyvian is a fairly attractive individual. His facial features are proportionate with one another, large lips complimented by a well-shaped medium size nose. What will always stand apart about him are his eyes... if one happens to get an actual look at them. No worries, if someone else is attractive and interesting enough, Nyvian is more than willing to let anyone get a good look at his appeal.
General Dressing Style:
Nyvian, unlike his brother, enjoys dressing well over casual. For the most part, though, simple pants and shirts are preferable to anything else. There are times when his dressing style mimics that of his brother and is solely for the purpose of playing people. He is wholly unrepentant about this.Nyvian’s celebration dress tends to be loud and flamboyant. Loud colored shirts are generally paired with dark pants. His normally messy hair is almost always slicked back in a presentable fashion during any kind of celebration.

Personality
Likes:
Ryvian & Skorzanth: Close to both his brother and Skorzanth, Nyvian would feel fairly lost without them.
Flirting: The young man adores flirting and casual relationships that lead nowhere.
Work: There is a certain sense of accomplishment that he gets from doing something. While he is not formally trained in anything, and really is past the desire to be trained, he enjoys the pride one earns from getting something done. If anyone is in need of a helping hand, Nyvian is unafraid to offer his.

Strengths:
He's outgoing and easygoing! He can handle responsibility and rarely shirks away from work and chores. He's personable, and if anyone is looking for a pick-me up, Nyvian is not a bad person to turn to.
Dislikes:
Separation: Not one to really like to be alone, Nyvian would be lost without the constant contact with his brother and Skorzanth.
Party Poopers: He is a fun individual, and he hates being around people who are either too serious or too down. Even boring people quickly earn his distaste.
Cold: It is a good thing he was taken South, because Nyvian has always had an aversion to the cold... and for some reason seems to be particularly susceptible to getting cold. Even on the warmest of nights, he sleeps with a few bedfurs.

Flaws:
Nyvian can very easily be distracted from the task at hand. While he'll, for the most part, get the job done, if something truly irresistible and fun comes his way, he'll screw work for the sake of having a little fun. Nyvian is not the smartest individual in terms of garnered knowledge. He knows enough to be of adequate assistance in the South, but not much more than that.
Habits & Mannerisms:
Nyvian constantly forgets he cut his hair and the habit of smoothing it out of his face has not left him. He still attempts the action regularly even though he has no hair to move.General Personality:
Nyvian, understandably, is not book smart. He was never properly taught, and turns in exile emphasized learning of skills that most Pernese would find no value in. He's not unintelligent, and over time hasn't really put much value on learning. Don't they have Harpers for that? Nyvian, instead, put the intelligence he has towards social interactions. Nyvian is very good at reading people, from subtle expression changes to simple gestures. He isn't always accurate, but he knows when someone's lying and can tell if someone isn't worth his time. There are people that are good to hang around, and people that will only bring trouble. He uses this intuition to try and guide his brother away from people he doesn't approve of.Much like his brother, Nyvian is an accomplished flirt. He enjoys the actions and reactions of his victims. He is a lover and doesn’t mind finding, conquering, and leaving those he chooses as the objects of his affections. He has yet to find anyone that piques his interest enough to actually settle down so he will continue with his flirtations and conquests.
For all his fun-loving and easygoing attitude, Nyvian is rather responsible. He has a head for work and doesn’t mind a day full of it. He has no problems giving a hand wherever a hand is needed and can often be found erecting huts or chopping wood for an elderly woman. He doesn’t, however, mind-blowing it off if there is fun to be had.
Nyvian possesses a confident individuality that allows him to be more than capable of adapting to any large change in his life. He doesn’t allow the jarring differences to get him down and looks at it with just as much easygoing circumstance as he lives the rest of his life with. Nyvian knows who he is and knows his worth.

Important History:
712 AL: Nyvian is born immediately after his older brother Ryvian to greenrider R’ry and her mate brownrider V’ron.713 - 715 AL: Nyvian is spoiled alongside his brother and enjoys a nice pampered life of a toddler, oblivious to any drama around him.
716 AL: As the plague starts to spread through all the Weyrs, the young boys are taken South with their parents, riding with one parent each. Sadly, the decision to keep even mated riders apart in the exile forces both boys to live with their mother while their father lives on territory close by.
717 – 719 AL: Nyvian is fairly oblivious to their perilous situation during these years, seemingly unaffected by their seclusion and struggle for survival with his mother and brother by his side. Having his family so close kept him in high spirits, and he spent most of the days trying to distract his brother from helping their mother with play.
720 AL: The call to reunite reaches them and the family moves to the area soon to become Katila and meets up once more with their father. All seems well again in the mind of eight turn old boys!
721 AL: During the firehead outbreak, Nyvian and his brother are kept inside and away from others as much as possible. Their parents said they survived the plague and the uncertainty of exile, they certainly weren’t losing anyone to firehead!
722 AL: Nyvian is still too young to fully understand the uprisings against Nirinath and the punishments for their actions were kept from him. To him, the turn was spent playing with the other children around his age while the community worked on huts and buildings. He got a little jealous whenever Ryvian seemed to play with the other kids more than him.
723 AL: A few months before the twins’ birthday, their mother dies of a ruptured appendix. That was naturally hard enough on the young boys about to turn eleven but a month after their birthday their father also died of blood loss due to slicing his leg open on a hunting trip taken alone.
724 AL: He overhears adults talking about the Northerners on ships and isn’t entirely sure why they’re bad. Nyvian's interest in them is only that everyone else is interested in them!
725 AL: The terrible storm that hits Katila does some damage to their hut. Since it was built for a family of four and now only two young boys live there, it’s decided to move the twins into a smaller one-bedroom hut so a family can move into their larger one upon repair.
726 AL: Another case of firehead breaks out and Nyvian is convinced to seclude himself inside of their hut with his brother. It proves to only reinforce their brotherly bond, though Nyvian finds himself bored on more than one occasion.
727 AL: Three months after their fifteenth birthday, the twins Stand for the Renewed Hope clutch but fail to Impress. Nyvian doesn't seem particularly affected by the failure, since life is just beginning for him, and there is plenty to do in-between clutches!
728 - 230 AL: Nyvian is beginning to come into himself, though now his days seem to be filled with flirting instead of making useful contributions to Katila.
731 AL: Nyvian tried to skip out on Candidate Classes to no avail, even if he was trying to skip out on classes by being preoccupied with someone else. For the most part, he avoids getting into trouble, unlike some more notable figures like B'jin.
732 AL: Now at the age of twenty, Nyvian who was always more careless as a child seems to have developed into a more serious young adult. He's not nearly as carefree anymore but seems to get wrapped up in his brother's game. His weakness for Ryvian seems to be able to exist permanently.
733 AL: At age 21, stood at for the Dangerous Days clutch. Thankfully did not impress.
734 AL: At age 21, Nyvian stood for the double-clutch of Okalinath and Krypth. His life was forever changed with the impression of bronze Skorzanth.
734 AL: To solidify his newly found differences from his brother, N’vian chops his dark locks off, given him an older and far more mature appearance.
734 AL: Disaster strikes the weyr in the form of a landslide. Many riders, dragons and weyrfolk perish in the muck. N’vian and his brother are among those who attempt rescues; he has his left hand crushed for his troubles.
734 AL: Returns north when he's capable with the rest.
738 AL: Screws a flight moth after Skorzanth loses a flight and gets her pregnant. Doesn't know about the daughter she birthed him.
739 AL: Is part of the delegation to assist Ista with the fire.
740 AL: Incredibly disgusted that Casa's gold allowed herself to be caught by a blue. The resulting dragonets were... Looked down on by N'vian.
741 AL: Present

Gold Okalinath x Bronze Torath at Katila Weyr on the 01.01.734 AL [Clutch Page]
Weyrlinghood
Skorzanth hatches a gangly, gawky little thing; all wings, and joints, he has a too-long tail, a stubby nose, and headknobs that seem almost too big for his rather compact head. Large eyes are sheltered below perfectly formed eye ridges. Long, slender legs and a grey-hound build make Skorzanth look particularly gangly, his joints, in contrast, looking far too big for his body and promising a large dragon at the end of his growth.A hide of mellow green coats Skorzanth most notably, taking up a good portion of his body. Two or three main shades seem to weave together in a smoky, almost lazy manner that is reminiscent of looking up at the sky from well below the lake surface. Interwoven, however, is a bright golden-bronze that flares across Skorzanth’s muzzle and up to wrap around his eyes with wispy fingers; the same shade is tangled around his forepaws, and across his tail. Interwoven, deeper shades of bronze-brown swirl through his lower hind legs, at random across his tail, and most pointedly over the top of his wing sails.

Skorzanth
Adulthood
Skorzanth’s grows into himself spectacularly, his proportions evening out relatively enough. While not perfectly even between length, wings, and height, Skorzanth could have done a lot worse, too. Rather, the quirks in Skorzanth’s physical build can be seen in a slightly rounder rump than would be ideal, with thick muscles roping down his legs and into his tail; Skorzanth will be a dragon full of powerful launches and it is this that will assist him the most in his chosen female pursuits. His eyes, a little smaller than ideal in his face, which will always maintain a compact air about it, are located under ridges that form a little too large, giving him a server and almost scolding look perpetually, no matter what colour emotion swirls within. His forearms and chest, in contrast to his overly powerful rear, are slim and while not lacking in muscle or definition, are not overly masculine either. His chest is deep, allowing for good lung space and resulting in excellent endurance in flight. There will be very few available dragons capable of outdistancing him in flight.
Bronzes, however, are naturally left wanting in aerobatics, and Skorzanth will be no exception. His massive size, and clear preference for endurance type flying, leaves his flight skills severely lacking in regards to spectacular displays. While Skorzanth is more than capable of remaining in the air for extended periods, he has great trouble with the more delicate manoeuvres, such as turning tightly or dropping into a sudden dive with grace. While he can do these things, Skorzanth is a dignified creature and prefers not to embarrass himself with awkward attempts unless the situation is in dire need of such things.
Mindvoice
Skorzanth has a strong, solid voice that would sound eerily like that of Nyvian, if it were not several decibels deeper. His voice contains all the self-assured confidence the dragon is in possession of, and often has a tendency to come out as mildly dismissive when adding his opinion to the conversation, or commenting on a thought of Nyvian’s that he considers to be below the young man. Being a placid dragon, Skorzanth is rarely brought to the edge with anger, and as a result, the way that affects his voice is mostly unknown.Personality
Strength and determination are the foremost in this dragon, from the manner in which he conducts himself to the way in which he speaks. Practically oozing stubborn determination, there is no mountain too high or ocean too wide for him to conquer. It may not be an easily obtained goal, but that is fine, for as stubborn as Skorzanth is, it is fuelled by an unending supply of patience. Whether it is assisting a random weyrbrat with some unforsaken task, or urging Nyvian to accomplish something the young man is unsure he can do, Skorzanth is forever supportive and reassuring. He knows he can do anything, and he is quite sure anyone else can, too, if they really want to.Confident in himself, and in his chosen human, Skorzanth has neither time nor room for self-doubt or any lack of confidence in Nyvian. He chose the man because he was worthy and whether that takes a moment or an eternity for Nyvian to recognise, Skorzanth will never doubt it, and his patience for urging the twin along will never falter. Despite this, the bronze can at times be dismissive and insensitive to the concerns of others; he knows what can be accomplished, and it is not uncommon for him to completely wave off worries without so much as a second’s thought.
It would not be wrong to assume that Skorzanth lacks true empathy, though he is hardly a cruel or callous dragon; he simply does not understand why other’s fear or doubt. What is, is, and if it is not then make it so. There is nothing too far out of reach, for anyone that can dream of reaching it. It is here where Skorzanth’s strengths really shine; supportive, and determined, the bronze would see those that aspire to succeed; no matter how long it might take them. He will assist in any way he deems appropriate – pushing, pulling, or ferrying when needed. He will carry along those that desire his support with pride and confident determination, for they are worthy, simply by their own desire to be worthy.
Self-pity will quickly earn the dragon’s dismissal. There is nothing that reeks quite so terribly as the pong of self-pity. Those that wallow in the cesspool will be deemed unworthy of the great bronze dragon’s company. He has no time for those that would not even take a moment to just try, and would rather remove them from not only his vicinity but in essence, from his entire life. Classmates, wingmates, or Weyr residents – he can pick them out a mile away, and while he will at the first attempt to get them back on track (for no one deserves to be abandoned!) Skorzanth will do exactly that, as soon as they indicate that that is exactly what they want, and that effort to correct it is useless.
Quirks
Skorzanth is not perfect, and his weaknesses reflect his imperfection; he is stubborn and often dismissive of the thoughts, emotions or desires of others. When he gets it into his head to do something his way, it is very difficult to convince or even tell Skorzanth that there is another way to do it, or that another method may well be better. Being a proud dragon does not help the cause of others when they do try and speak to the bronze about such things, and the overabundance of self-assurance he houses makes an already difficult task more so. Skorzanth is not one to allow himself to be wrong in the first place, but his pride and stubbornness make it very difficult for the dragon to bow his head pleasantly. It is immediately apparent that Skorzanth is a strong dragon, and that his strength is not just restricted to his physical body, but also his mind and his emotions. He is a solid rock, and a strong foundation for the young man he has chosen to be his own. Determined and confident, he will never let those around him falter and will always be there to lead the way. He would see all his goals brought to success, and will never give up on something when he is sure is important – which he is always sure of.
Skorzanth is a monogamous dragon; he will not take to the skies until he has picked and courted his chosen mate, be she green or gold, and upon so doing will fly no other. He will mate for life, and Skorzanth is quite insistent that Nyvian should get his habits under control and find himself his own mate, whether that mate be bonded to Skorzanth’s chosen dragon or not is irrelevant. He simply does not agree with his rider whoring himself out like a common green, and it is one of the few subjects the dragon will get snotty-nosed about.
Skorzanth has a fierce dislike for strong smells, stemming from having a mug of Klah tipped on his head by accident at his Hatching. While there was no real damage done, the shock appears to have stayed with the dragon, who deeply dislikes Klah, as well as anything else that smells strongly, most notably this also includes numbweed, sweat (namely sex induced), firestone ash, and of course, klah.
This dragon also has a great disdain for the intelligent, who feel it is clever to appear stupid, or act needlessly stupid, or be needlessly stupid. If one has the brain capacity to be intelligent then one should also have the brain capacity to be capable of enacting that intelligence! There is nothing that irritates this bronze more.
Probably the most obscure thing about Skorzanth is his deep appreciation for trundlebugs. The little critters are determined, stubborn, and unwilling to bend! He finds them utterly fascinating, and will quietly find himself an out of the way place to lay and watch the creatures trundle on along for hours at a time. If he is left uninterrupted, Skorzanth will follow them along, relocating himself when required to keep the family train within sight.
Enjoyment of a challenge is perhaps a leading reason why Skorzanth Impressed to the quiet twin, finding the young man’s ways both agreeable and a challenge. He enjoys the reluctance Nyvian can often display, and the chance to counter it with reasons, and encouragement. Nyvian gives Skorzanth something to do, beyond simply being, and that is something the dragon needs at his very core; he needs to feel useful, to be useful, and the young twin provides the bronze with that.
Quality entertainment is something that the large bronze will never pass up. While what qualifies as ‘quality’ could be debated by many, Skorzanth appears to enjoy the mild, silly nature of children and playful trouble makers – people with goals, who are setting out to obtain them for their own entertainment, and thus provide him with some. Skorzanth enjoys watching the setup process for pranks, and will often be at the core of encouraging Nyvian in such events during their Weyrlinghood, and well into adulthood. Why not have a bit of fun, when no one is being harmed?
