The heat of Igen Weyr and it's surrounds means that the majority of the time, Nonalia's seen in light and breathable dresses. She was already not a big fan of shoes, so with the excuse of the heat of the weyr and soft sand, she often goes without. Unless, of course, she must go out during the daytime rather than the calm cool of the evenings. Her hair is usually pulled away from her face with a hairpin, but rarely worn up.

718 (Birth); Nonalia is born in the wilds of the southern continent, and is the only of her siblings born in the south. She is barely of walking age by the time the call rang out to join what would become Katila Weyr.

719-723 (1-5); While the huts and other buildings of the weyr are built by the adults and children old enough to be of use, Lia and the other young children are watched by her mother and other creche workers. She makes few friends her age, but one particularly fearless and outgoing boy seems to adopt her as his own introverted friend.

724 (6); She's far too young to be able to understand what the appearance of northern ships might mean. Nonalia doesn't understand why the Weyrwoman is so distraught about it, and why they are forbidden from interacting with them. Her father says he'll explain when she's older. He never does.

725-729 (7-11) The storm that destroys half the weyr ends up bringing about the beginnings of a fear of storms. Even she begins to hear the whispers of an uprising, a plot to put something else in place rather than the traditional gold leadership that only seemed to be failing them. That seemed to have been quenched pretty quickly, and put a terror in her father's own impenetrable heart. That was enough to scare her into not asking any more questions.

730-732 (12-14);Then public lashing of a candidate furthers that fear of their home itself, scaring her more than she's willing to admit. She reaches age to be able to stand, but with the leadership's increased demonstrations of punishment, she refuses to join candidacy.

733-735 (15-17) She's ready to leave Katila when the landslide takes most of their home, no longer feeling the safety of it as she had as a young girl. This time, she's old enough to help rebuild, and she does eagerly, willing to do whatever it takes to be of use rather than a burden. The Weyrwoman's death, however, seems to slow that progress, and talks of heading back north seem to come from the top now.

736 (18);The move North is, frankly, terrifying, and she is unsure of what they'll find once they get there. When her father is sent to Ista a few turns later, she follows and decides to stand for candidacy. She's no longer afraid of what leadership might do to any who step out of line.

737-741 (19-23); She's hopeful to impress that first hatching, but not even a green looks her way. The second is the same. The next few turns pass without so much as a glance in her direction. She wonders if she should have followed her brother to Fort, learned healing there and tried her hand at those hatchings, or just given up standing entirely.

742 (24); And yet, she's glad she didn't. Before the end of the fifth year standing at Ista, Laniath hatches, and with a simple word, she is stunned… and smitten.

743-Now (25-Present); The pair graduate, and once opened, are immediately sent to Igen to serve as Jr. Weyrwoman. Neither mind the change of scenery, and Igen is absolutely gorgeous in its own right. They could be happy here.
