Hello loves! While I haven't been writing, I have been working on updating some issues that have been hanging around on the layout! The Character change box is now at the bottom of the page, beside the up/down arrows! Green and Gold dragon flight dates have been shifted to the bottom of the page, where the (useless!) discord widget was located. Where the dragon flights were in the header, is now replaced by a Monthly Event box! This will be updated at the start of each month, with a fun mini-event you can take part in, if you want to! General Description:
Geric has the sort of face that somehow looks vaguely familiar to everybody, even complete strangers. Despite being taller than his older brother, everyone assumes he's shorter because of how much he slouches. He walks a lot and frequently skips meals, both of which contribute to his lean and lanky physique. He started to try and become stronger since he turned 18, but aside from getting more definition in his muscles he hasn't seen any appreciable gains.General Dressing Style:
Geric enjoys well made clothing that looks good but is also practical and easy to move in. Because he's generally rather insecure, he tends to wear things that don't show off his physique (or rather his perceived lack of one), and usually likes to wear things that are slightly looser so that he can hide in them.

Geric can't just hold a pen or pencil and will always end up twirling it in his fingers. Always slouches, and can't just sit in a chair normally. His legs and feet frequently end up propped on something. If there is a musical instrument within easy reach he'll idly and compulsively play it, even if it doesn't belong to him. If it's not a stringed instrument he just won't play it well.General Personality:
Even when he has straightforward goals to accomplish and a path to take, Geric constantly finds himself feeling lost. His entire life has been dedicated to chasing after his brother's shadow, trying his best to emulate either him or their father to make the family proud and feel successful. He's not entirely sure what he wants for himself anymore, or how to even begin to figure that out. He drowns himself in whatever task he gets assigned, wanting to impress people with his good work, but he ends up exhausting himself out and spending all of his downtime doing nothing. He doesn't understand how his older brother seemingly has such an easy time with keeping those around him happy, and he finds himself constantly wondering if there's just something wrong with himself as a result.He may not have his brother's charm, but Geric is excellent at twisting the truth. He has a knack for knowing how far is too far, the sorts of lies someone would find believable, and even when it's best to just admit to telling a lie (even if that is also a lie). He tries to keep some sort of balance, being at least hardworking and reliable, but he still tends to lie to avoid trouble, sometimes before immediately realizing it would have been better to just tell the truth. It only adds to his own sense of shame.
His own personal doubts make it especially hard to relate to others; idle chit chat and conversations that have no purpose fill him with dread until he has gotten used to someone (or occasionally his brother can ease that with an introduction). He doesn't trust people very much, but then, Geric doesn't trust himself all that much either unless it has to do with his work. At least he's managed to turn is social awkwardness into something he can use to convince other people that he's harmless enough they can talk freely around him. If they even noticed him in the first place. There's just something about his demeanor and his naturally quiet tendencies that makes Geric good at blending into the background and being easily forgotten. It's quite handy for avoiding attention and eavesdropping, but also leaves him feeling quite isolated and alone sometimes, and he frequently gets forgotten about.

Important History:
721.09.18 and 0 - Born the fourth child and second son to Ganderfel and Leriana. He is a surprise, and is mostly raised by his brother Gangleri who is fourteen years his senior and the only other sibling still living with their parents.725 and 4 - Older brother Gangleri still manages to make time for him despite getting his Jr. Journeyman knots. He doesn't like his wife, and does his best to just avoid her attention whenever he sees her. He's easily dismissed as shy with the expectation he'll get over it by his parents. His father especially just keeps telling him to be more like his older brother.
734 and 12 - Becomes an apprentice Harper like Gangleri and their father. He does his best to try and emulate his brother.
735 and 14 - He thinks his brother is doing something sneaky and decides to take that as an opportunity to try out some of the lessons he'd learned about spying. He actually finds he's rather good at espionage and even enjoys it, discovering that his brother is having an affair. He takes a lot of notes so that he can learn as much as he can.
737 and 16 - Finally manages to make up for his shortcomings and becomes a Sr. Apprentice. His father points out that Gangleri had achieved the rank much more quickly, but his brother seems proud at least.
739 and 18 - His brother's wife confronts him about his brother's activities, and after threatening and attacking him she manages to get ahold of the notes he'd taken about Gangleri's mistress. He's so embarrassed and ashamed of himself for not destroying the notes as well as failing to even defend himself, that he can't bring himself to tell anyone, even his brother, what happened. His brother does fuss about his black eye, asking if he's getting into fights at the Hall.
740 and 19 - Gangleri's mistress dies and he falls into a deep depression. Geric hates himself even more since it's clearly his fault. He tries to distract his brother by having him teach him how to fight better, and help tutor him in a few things.
741 and 20 - His dedication and hard work pay off. He's finally tapped for Jr. Journeyman. The attention he receives from his parents is short lived. His sister in law has a riding accident and dies. He knows Gangleri had something to do with it, but he keeps his mouth shut. Geric is left to care for his brother's house as he rides off on his horse on some sort of depression walkabout. He has a friend staying with him for company, but otherwise just tries to drown himself in either his work for the Hall or making books for Gangleri.
742 and 21 - Geric is excited when his brother returns, filled with much more joy than he'd seen in a long time. He also brings a new lady with him, and Geric finds he really likes Quilriana's company and is glad that she seems to make his brother so happy. He gets dragged to a fancy party in the middle of the year while his brother is away and ends up sleeping with a young woman named Yvandria. He lies and tells her his name is Gangleri. At the very end of the year he runs into the woman at the market place and finds out she's carrying his child. He panics and denies any involvement, telling her she must have him mistaken for someone else.

Despite being socially awkward he's an excellent actor and liar, and he's very good at emphasizing his natural awkwardness to make sure no one suspects him of anything. His father's a Master Harper, his older brother is a Master Harper, and Geric just worries that he's an enormous disappointment to the family. He tries his best to just avoid attention altogether, but it's quite hard to do any time he's near his family. On the one hand they tend to draw a lot of attention to themselves specifically, but enough of it gets to him by proxy that he gets recognized more than he'd like in the Hall.
